A soothing and nostalgic color palette to stitch purple flowers or really any other botanical embroideries. While darker shades of purple often represent luxury or opulence, lighter shades are quite soothing and nostalgic.

EMBROIDERY INSPIRATION

As with most of the color inspiration here on Makenstitch, this is another color palette created for a particular project. The purple flowers featured in the French Knot Bouquet are a depiction of a beautiful lilacs bouquet, naturally stitched using a few shades of purple and a touch of blue.

From hydrangeas, and azaleas, to lavender or even wisteria, you can adapt this color palette to most of the purple flowers we are blessed with.
