How to get these free embroidery patterns?
If this is your first time here on Makenstitch, I’m happy to let you know that all my patterns and files are free for you to download and try out. Not only that, but they all come with a detailed step-by-step tutorial.

1. “You’ve Been Booed” Free Embroidery Pattern
This easy pattern is all about making a cool and spooky gift to spread some Halloween cheer and create a sense of togetherness. It’s a fun twist on the traditional “You’ve been booed” Halloween game, and it comes with some printable tags too!

2. Floral Bouquet Pattern
This Floral bouquet is one of the most downloaded and shared embroidery patterns here on Makenstitch. This is a cute embroidery pattern for all levels as it uses just a few basic embroidery stitches.

3. Thistle Flower Free Pattern
Thistle flowers are full of character and contrary to their intricate look, they’re really easy to stitch. This Thistle flower pattern uses a few stitches, with raised chain stitch and turkey rug being my favorites.

4. Daisies Embroidery Pattern
The Daisies embroidery pattern is ideal for beginners looking to explore the needle painting technique. There are so many beautiful ways to stitch these iconic day bloomers, and this is just one of them.
You will learn the basic stitches for a needle painting project: split stitch for the stems, long and short stitch for the petals, padded satin stitch, and the French knot stitch.

5. Strawberry Jar Cover Embroidery Pattern
The little Strawberry jar project is another great start if you’re looking to learn the needle painting technique. Although is a very small project, it uses kind of the same approach and you’ll end up with a cute jar cover.
You can hand sew the lace, so no sewing machine is needed to complete the project.

6. Sakura Tree Embroidery Pattern
Another pattern was stitched almost entirely using the French knot stitch. The Sakura Tree pattern is super easy to stitch, very repetitive, and great if you’re looking to zone out and detach from the daily stress. You’ll be the master of French knots when done stitching this one, I promise!

7. Cherry Blossom on Printed Fabric Embroidery Pattern
The Cherry Blossom pattern is great if you love mixed-media projects. Embroidered florals over a printed image are definitely one of my favorites. This pattern is versatile enough, so you can stitch the cherry blossoms on a regular fabric without printing a background image. Either way, it’ll look gorgeous!

8. Floral Letter Hand Embroidery Pattern
The Floral Alphabet project is part of my free email class where we are stitching together from start to finish the letter “H”. You can download for free the pattern for the letter “H”, learn, and practice the long and short stitch.

The Love pattern is a fun project that you can stitch even if you never threaded a needle before. Once embroidered, you can frame it, you can use a mini easel for display, or you can hang the hoop decoration in any room of your home.
