DMC TO ANCHOR EMBROIDERY COLOR CONVERSION CHART
DMC and Anchor are the most commonly used brands of stranded cotton. They both have a wide variety of colors and are made of good-quality stranded cotton. The thread is comprised of six strands, which can be easily separated as you might want to stitch with less than 6 strands depending on your project.
The Cherry Blossom Stitch Color Palette uses the following shades of thread: Violet Very Light, Violet Light, Beige Brown Very Dark, and Blanc.
Feel free to adapt these color suggestions to suit your projects.
DMC STRANDED COTTON
153 | 554 | 838 | Blanc |
ANCHOR STRANDED COTTON
342 | 96 | 1088 | 2 |
RGB VALUES
If you plan to use this color palette for digital display works (TV, computer, tablet or smartphone) use the RGB values from the chart below.
#E6CCD9 | #DBB3CB | #594937 | #FFFFFF |
You can use both brands together for a project, for example, substitute one shade of DMC floss with ANCHOR floss, but please note that is not possible to provide a perfect color match between brands.
